Cute dogs, a local vineyard, a gorgeous couple and some of the prettiest light I’ve seen all year made Mary and Tim’s engagement session one of my favorites. You know it’s going to be a great shoot when your first shot is three dogs sitting, smiling and their owners are smiling too. I might have been on the ground just laughing over this priceless moment.
Photographing people is always a special relationship. It’s about building trust and a level of comfort so that I can take more than a pretty picture. It’s about truly seeing my couples and reflecting that honest and beautiful portrayal of who they are into a portrait. Mary and Tim have touched my heart with their kindness and have effortlessly let me into their lives and their love for each other. It’s funny how when you’re able to let go and share who you really are there is a magic that happens. I really believe that. It’s what makes it hard for me to put my camera down and gets me hooting and hollering when your heart is truly revealed.
