The month of May has arrived and during this joyous time Sandra Costello Photography is celebrating the Class of 2018! This upcoming year is such a special time in your life and the life of your family. When I became a senior many years ago I was the first of five to graduate and to go off to college. I had no idea what I was doing but thanks to a lot of love and support I found my way. Wanna see a photo of me from my senior year? It’s a doozie but I promise if you make your way to end of this post the payoff will be magical!
Here’s what I’ve got planned for the month of May:
- Senior Fun Shoot: On Thursday, May 18 at Smith College’s Botanical Gardens I will be offering 10 free 15-minute shoots from 3:30 – 6:30 pm. All participants will receive 4-5 low resolution files to share on social media as proof you had a blast during your shoot with me. This shoot doesn’t replace your Senior Portrait Session but gets you totally pumped for your full session. All participants will be asked to tell me what you’re looking forward to during your senior year. These write-ups will accompany your photos during Senior Week on my blog and social media. To sign up click on my contact page or call 413-427-1676.
- Senior Week – May 22 – 26: During this super fun week the class of 2018 can enter to win lots of cool prizes, learn how to prepare for their Senior Portrait Session, take advantage of Early Bird Specials and celebrate the portraits of their friends taken during my Senior Fun Shoot.
- Early Bird Specials: During Senior Week all students will have the chance to book their Senior Portrait Session for $145, versus the regular fee of $195. There are also some super fun add-ons that will be discounted when purchased during Senior Week.
How do you know who should take your Senior Portrait?
I realize there are lots of photographers to choose from and not every experience will be a good fit. Here’s why seniors choose Sandra Costello Photography:
You Get to Be Yourself. I believe in the power of you. Whether you’re outgoing or on the quieter side, I want you to come to your session just as you are. You can get fancy, wear your favorite casual clothes or bring both! I am happy to hear your ideas, especially if they help to highlight you as an individual. I have some spots I love to photograph at or we can discuss a location that’s special to you.
Family is Important. I always encourage families to add on a Family Mini to their Senior Portrait Session. This is such a great time to have a family experience before your son or daughter leaves for college. It also gives you a head start on your holiday cards! Some of my favorite and most emotional portraits have been family add-ons.
Brave Moments Matter. Whether you call them milestones or brave moments, I believe this time in the life of your child is an important one. There is so much excitement around this next phase in his or her life and it brings change, which brings lots of emotions. I believe it’s important to capture photographs during this time and to display them as reminders of the brave moments you endure together.
