Meagan and Ed are one of the sweetest, most fun-loving couples I had the privilege of photographing this past year. They were so committed to finding the right person to capture their day that they paid me a visit in western Massachusetts from New Jersey. I was thrilled we hit it off and honored to be the one to photograph their day. Actually, there was a fair amount of traveling that went on in this relationship. Ed lived in New Jersey and Meagan lived in North Carolina, and to add one more state to the mix we met in Newport, RI for their engagement session. Yahoo!
Ed’s family lives in Mantoloking, New Jersey, a beautiful spot right along the water. Their home was one of the many to be affected by Storm Sandy that hit in October of 2012. While their home has since been repaired the town is still recovering as witnessed by the torn up beach and main road. I knew how important it was for Meagan and Ed to marry here and having a little extra time the day before the wedding was a great way for me to explore the area.
Meagan and Ed had so many personal touches for their day: a custom-made flag with their wedding logo, custom wine corks, family photos, and a wedding-adorned getaway boat for the end of the night. It was a gorgeous day and the location couldn’t have been more perfect. Love will find you no matter where you are. The heart wants what the hearts wants and Meagan and Ed have found each other. I started my day with Ed raising their wedding flag, and Meagan going for a run with her friends. It was a beautiful morning.
There was a little trouble with Marcie’s zipper. Yeah, it wouldn’t zip so these amazing ladies put in a custom panel and bow. I was so impressed!
