My couples mean the world to me. The significance of their commitment to each other and the people who show up for them are what make their day so special. This year I am asking my couples to tell me what made their wedding day so memorable to them.
First up is the lovely Andrea and Jason. You might remember their fun engagement session that included two of the cutest boys ever. Their wedding landed on a crisp, sunny day in January at the Garden House in Look Park, Northampton. They had lots of fun details incorporating the color purple and sentimental moments to celebrate the making of a new family. Throughout this post you will see words written by Andrea.
We all wanted to be comfortable and add a bit of a fun twist so matching custom Converse was the way to go!Some details that not everyone would know about were things like the purple corset ribbon on my dress to honor my friend Jacqui who passed away. So she could be with me that day I also had one of her necklaces wrapped around my bouquet. My grandmother’s brooch was pinned on the inside of my dress and my something blue was a blue patch sewn into the liner of my dress with our names and wedding date.
Ever since Jason was little his mom’s nickname for him was Moose. She always joked with him that one day he would find his Moose Match, so it just seemed appropriate to have Mr. & Mrs. Moose as our cake toppers.
I got really choked up reading my vows to the children, and seeing some of my long distance friends that I haven’t seen in years. It was just so special to have them all there in one place to celebrate with us.Incorporating the boys was very important to us; they were Jason’s best men. Reading vows to them, and presenting them with their special gifts was our way of letting them know just how loved they are by us.Years from now, when our memories aren’t as sharp, and some of the details fade, we can always look back and have these memories frozen in time that truly captured the magic, love, and emotions of our wedding day.
Kind words from Andrea:
SANDRA ROCKS! She had a way of blending into the background to capture moments without us even knowing she was there, and was so lovely to all of our family and friends. Her personality and charm equally matches her talent in every way possible. We could not have asked for a better photographer and will cherish these gifts she has given us!
