Brittany and Tony are some of my favorite people. They married in June of 2013 on Martha’s Vineyard and I was lucky enough to photograph their gorgeous day. When Brittany told me they were going to renew their vows on the top of Mount Sugarloaf last year, just the two of them, I strongly encouraged her to take me along. (If I could have gone with them on their honeymoon I would have done that too!)
I met Britt at her home, where she was writing out her vows and defrosting the top from their wedding cake. Tony would be home from work shortly and they would get ready in separate spaces because Brittany didn’t want him to see her before their ceremony. It was a close call as you will see below:)
After they got ready Britt and I drove to Mount Sugarloaf ahead of Tony. She hid herself and Tony made his way to the top of the mountain. With a gorgeous late afternoon sun and a few hot air balloons dotting the sky, the two newlyweds saw each other all dolled up and recited their vows once again. It was such a special way for them to celebrate their first wedding anniversary and I was grateful to witness it, along with a few other folks who happen to join us. Yay Brittany and Tony!
