Fall is just around the corner and I wanted to kick off the season with Ally and Cam and their fun engagement shoot in Vermont. We started at Ally’s family’s home, made our way to a nearby lake and then to a second family property, which will serve as the backdrop to their wedding day preparation. I cannot wait for their big day coming up in a week!
Vermont is very special to Ally and Cam and to Ally’s family and I could feel that the first time we met. These two sweet people, along with Ally’s mom, met me at my studio last year. They were still working through some of the details of their day but one thing that was certain was the connection between Ally and Cam, and the tenderness I could feel from Ally’s mom. Family, sense of place, and the important connections in their life were paramount. Often when I meet with couples, their parents, siblings–whomever is involved in the planning–it’s easy to get sentimental and sometimes emotional about this milestone. It gives me a greater appreciation for what this day holds for them and how I play a part in capturing life’s greatest memories.
So take a moment, take a breath, and breathe in Ally and Cam and the beauty of Vermont.
